About the Book
Winnie the Pooh is one of the most beloved and respected bears of all time. His wisdom is boundless-from the ancient mysteries to the current world markets. In this ingenious book, John Tyerman Williams demonstrates beyond a doubt that the Great Bear is also a brilliant psychologist.
Through case studies, Williams explores the psychological depths of the inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Wood. Piglet is compulsively shy, Eeyore is clinically depressed, Owl is antisocial, and so on. The author cleverly shows how Pooh, in his gentle and methodical way, gets to the root of every problem and leads his friends on the road to recovery.
This witty volume lends readers the opportunity to learn a little smackerel about Winnie the Pooh's version of psychology-and perhaps about themselves. In this tumultuous day and age, it is a Very Comforting Thought to know we have such a wise and trusted friend to lean on.
